Do you or a loved one have trouble completing one or more of these tasks within your home due to a limitation in your mobility (Walking, in a wheelchair etc)?

  • When standing to transfer are you unstable or feel like you will fall (or
    have fallen) when trying to transfer to a different seat?
  • Unable to stand due to physical limitations (paralysis, numbness, loss of limbs) and require the use of a slide board or patient lifting device to transfer.
  • If you answered yes to one of these follow up questions you may need an assistive device that has specially designed features such a seating system that is designed to help reduce the potential of pain, discomfort and most importantly pressure sores (ulcers).
  • Pressure sores can form from long periods of time sitting in one position without the ability to safely and effectively offload the pressure on the sitting bones.
  • Does the wheelchair cause pain or have you sustained an injury as a result from pushing the current device?
  • Do you feel that the wheels are not positioned in a way that is comfortable and functional to self-propel the wheelchair
  • Do you feel the wheelchair is heavy to push throughout your home environment?
  • Do you feel you lean to one side of your wheelchair, and it makes it hard to efficiently self-propel with both arms because of the sitting posture?
  • If you answered yes to one or more of these questions you may need a more customized fit wheelchair to optimize your self-propelling and position.
